Brief Biography
I am an experienced Licensed Clinical Psychologist focusing on the treatment of people recovering from trauma, people who struggle with managing their emotions, and people experiencing problems in their relationships. I have particular expertise working with people experiencing depression, anxiety, PTSD, Borderline Personality Disorder, and Narcissistic Personality Disorder. I am currently available for individual psychotherapy, diagnostic assessments, consultations with other mental health professionals. I supervise doctoral psychology trainees and psychiatry residents. I received my Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Emory University, completed my internship at the San Francisco VA and fellowship at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago. After training, I moved back to Louisville where I have worked at the University of Louisville in the Department of Psychiatry, managed the PTSD clinic at the VA in Lexington and worked in an administrative role for Passport Health Plan. I specialize in romantic and nonromantic relationship difficulties, such as disconnection, conflict, divorce or breakups, anxiety about dating, difficulties expressing emotion, or simply trouble connecting to people in general. I also provide treatment for depression, anxiety, trauma, heath-related concerns such as chronic pain or overeating, and life transitions. I am an LGBTQ ally and have experience working with trans clients.
I earned my doctorate at Emory University, completed a clinical internship at the University of California, Berkeley, and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago. I specialize in interpersonal, dynamic, and mindfulness-based psychotherapy. I provide supervision and consultation for graduate students and other professionals training in psychotherapy.
In my free time I enjoy walking in Cherokee Park with my husband, sons, and dog.
